Offsets and Counter-Trade
Offsets and counter-trade stand accused of distorting the global defence procurement markets. Despite continued opposition and looming legislative reform, offsets will remain a feature of international trade, albeit in a new form. Counter-trade, meanwhile, threatens to become a greater driver of procurement decisions.
During this Jane’s Intelligence Centre online seminar, Jane’s will assess the impact of offsets and counter-trade on the global market; the changes ahead; and the likely winners and losers in the coming years.
Participation in this event will enable you to -
- Assess the impact of offsets on global defence trade
- Understand the effects of offset reforms and policies in the world’s leading markets
- Identify the countries placed to benefit as alternative procurement practices rise
- Consider whether offsets achieve the intended goals
