Now in its eighteenth year, the Jane's Police Review Gala Awards are widely known as the most prestigious and high-profile of their kind in the UK. The awards recognise the achievements of police officers involved in community policing across the United Kingdom and promote a positive side of police work, which seldom gets the publicity it deserves - uniting inspirational officers from probationers to those in their retirement year.

The Jane's Police Review Gala Awards will take place at The London Hilton, Park Lane Hotel on the Wednesday 28th October 2009.

The event attracts attendance of the most senior and influential figures in policing and government.

Jane’s Transport Finance Awards

This glittering awards ceremony celebrating the successes of bankers, lawyers and other finance professionals throughout the year.

Now in their 9th year, Jane’s Transport Finance Awards will take place on Wednesday 26th November at the Merchant Taylors' Hall in London. The awards recognise the immense effort and skill of financiers, bankers and lawyers working within the transport finance industry. Awards are given in the aircraft, airport, rail and shipping sectors with the winners each judged on a specific deal which demonstrates that their finance house or bank has shown particular innovation and skill in securing finance for transportation assets. The awards will be judged by a panel of leading experts and Jane’s Transport Finance editorial team.

Jane's Airport Review ATC Global Awards 2010

Celebrating excellence in the global ATM industry

We will be marking the 10-year anniversary by helping to raise awareness of contributions made across the industry through continued recognition of endeavour and achievement in air traffic management.

Winners are selected by a panel of senior representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration, Eurocontrol, IATA, CANSO, IHS Jane's and ICAO. The awards will be co-presented by Jenny Beechener, editor of Jane's Air Traffic Control.

The awards categories are:

Enabling technology - for contribution to enhanced capacity and safety

Industry - to reflect a significant contribution by equipment suppliers

Innovation - in recognition of new entrants into the market

Service Provision - for the contribution to safe and efficient airspace management

Future systems - for developing next-generation technology

Environment - for companies contributing to reduced environmental emissions by the aviation industry
