The Official Eurosatory 2008 International Conference: Homeland Security in Urban Areas

UK Defence Conference 2007Homeland Security in urban areas is the theme of The Official Eurosatory Conference to be held alongside Eurosatory 2008.

Speakers from France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Spain and Canada will join in a wide-ranging debate over the difficult and demanding issues affecting governments and over the responses that are appropriate during critical incidents.

Speakers and topics now confirmed and updated - see conference programme for details.

A number of contributors bring to bear the lessons of actual experiences in New York, London and Madrid, as well as looking at the impacts of such huge natural catastrophes as Hurricane Katrina. French security and defence policy is currently under review by the Mallett Committee and its relevant conclusions will feature during the proceedings.

Homeland Security is often a less clear cut area of expenditure than in defence and official contributors are being invited to develop their thinking on the most appropriate approaches to partnership with industry.
